A 2020 book list from a photographer and not one of them is photography related! Both photography and reading bring so much joy in my life so I thought reading deserved a spot on the blog too! I love how both good photography and good writing can capture the essence of a moment in ways that surprise you and and move you because you know its true….even though you could never put it into words until you read it/saw it. Below is a list of almost every book I read in 2019 in no particular order.
Best for my Soul? Searching for Sunday, Inspired, Becoming Michelle Obama, and Becoming Mrs. Lewis.
Best Writing? Heavy, Fates & Furies
Worst Book Overall? The Library Book! So boring, haha!
Most Anticipated? The Testaments! I read the Handmaid’s Tale in College and am all up to date on the show so this was a must and it did not disappoint!
What’s on your list for 2020? I’m starting with delving into more C.S. Lewis (Becoming Mrs. Lewis inspired me) and also re-reading Toni Morrison’s the Bluest Eye. There are a few on my shelf that I never finished in 2019…Hold Still by Sally Mann (actually photography related!), The Secret Wife of Aaron Burr, The Rosie Project to name a few.
