Baby Photography in Twentynine Palms by Marisa McDonald Photography
If you didn’t notice, babies were being born left and right on Christmas Eve in Twentynine Palms, so it was destinedĀ that I would have one last baby photography session of the year on New Year’s Eve! The perfect way to end the year, for sure!
When I first started down this photography journey, I never imagined that I would love newborn photography as much as I do but it has really grown to be a main emphasis in my business. I love it for so many reasons…of course the most obvious is how adorable a teeny tiny new baby is! Beyond that, I just love having the honor of capturing such a once in a lifetime moment. These newborns are literally changing every day and theĀ things I capture today won’t be true anymore even a week later! The other reasons I love it go deeper. I love the lasting impact of these pictures. I love that children will grow up and become adults and still see these pictures. I imagine they will be able to see themselves and their purpose and the way they’ve always been loved. Not only will the kids see these pictures over the years…their parents will as well, and that is equally meaningful.
I wrote about this very topic recently for the Miky Way Newborn Magazine in my article, “Newborn Photography as a Way to Empower and Encourage New Moms.” I hope you’ll go check it out and share your thoughts! Can you relate? Did you do newborn photography with your children? How have the positive affects of that lingered over the years?
In the meantime I hope you enjoy this New Year’s Eve Baby Photography session…she was such an adorable and snuggly little girl!
